Welcome to the Chillicothe Chiropractic & Wellness Center website! Our two Doctors of Chiropractic are Palmer Graduates and have over 33 years of combined experience.  Our Chillicothe practice specializes in Chiropractic and wellness related care. We are dedicated to giving you the best conservative care possible and to get you on the road to good health in an efficient and thorough manner.

With many years of training, education, and experience under our belt we have treated patients with conditions ranging from whiplash to scoliosis to herniated discs to sciatica to headaches, and much more. We have had stunning success with these and many other conditions. CCWC, Inc. was formerly located on Western Avenue in Chillicothe.  In 2007 we opened our new office at 190 North Bridge Street just south of the Scioto River and State Route 35 and Business 23 interchange. Our Chillicothe office is equipped with modern chiropractic equipment and technology.  Our new location offers more valuable services at a more convenient location, out of the North Bridge Street congestion, with convenient parking.  We provide a variety of conservative care options, including Chiropractic, Massage, Corrective Exercise, Acupuncture, and Nutrition.

Charles E. Kitchen, BS, DC, ACRB Level 3, CES

Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Kitchen was born in Portsmouth, OH., graduating from McDermott Northwest High School, 1988. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Shawnee State University, Portsmouth, in 1992. He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 1996. He is level three certified in rehabilitation and eligible for the Diplomate Degree from the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (ACRB). He is Certified in Impairment and Disability Evaluation by the American Board of Forensic Professionals (ABFP), 2005. He is a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), 2008. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic College of Rehabilitation, Council on Chiropractic Physiological Therapeutics and Rehabilitation. Dr. Kitchen is active in the Chillicothe Jaycees and has been the official Paint Valley Bearcat Chiropractor since 1999. Dr. Kitchen enjoys fishing, hunting, and golf.  He, his wife and two children reside in Chillicothe.

Donald R. Werr, DC

Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Werr was born in Toledo, OH, graduating from St. Johns-Jesuit in 1983. He completed Pre-Med studies at The University of Toledo in 1988. He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IA., in 1992. He is a member of the International Foundation for Nutrition & Health. Dr. Werr is the official Chiropractor of the Chillicothe Paints Baseball team and an avid baseball fan, and has worked with local high school athletics.  He, his wife and three children reside in Chillicothe.

Acupuncturist

Joseph J. Zhuang receive his training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine in Beijing, China, 1979, and earned his postgraduate degree from China Academy of TCM in 1988.  His acupuncture tutor and colleague is Professor Cheng Xinnong, one of the top  acupuncturist in the world and the chief editor of  "Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion", the first and most widely used textbook in acupuncture training around the world.

Since 1988, He has worked in the Acupuncture Institute of China, Academy of TCM in Beijing, and he was engaged as one of the Chief Doctors at the Acupuncture Institute. He was one of the Professors of the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center which collaborated with the World Health Organization.  He has treated more then 50,000 patients and students throughout the world.

He was invited to give the lectures and to treat clinic patients in Norway, Germany, and Taiwan, and was engaged as a Guest Doctor and Honorary Professor.

In 1997 he came to the United States and has taught acupuncture at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in NM & CO, and Acupuncture & Massage College in FL, meanwhile he has continued treating patients with Acupuncture and Chinese Herb Medicine.

In 2007, he moved from Florida to Ohio, opened his acupuncture clinic in Columbus, and in cooperation with CCWC in Chillicothe.  He utilizes his 28 years of experience to service the Chillicothe and Columbus areas, and specializes in treating pain, stress, and sports injury etc.
